I know it is a scanner but can I use it for other things ? Tell me more about the PDA

You can use the PDA for scanning orders and

  • Memos
  • To-do lists
  • Address book of your WOW customers and all your other personal and professional contacts
  • Maintain name, address, phone, fax, email, cell, etc.
I have a showroom. What about scanning in the showroom?
Start with lines that are already bar-coded wherever possible. WOWSCAN can read UPC codes and other numeric bar-codes. If you already have items that have bar-codes - chances are that WOWSCAN can read them.

You don't have to assume your entire showroom needs to be bar-coded. Start with what you have.

Go through the lines that are already bar-coded and try all of the products. You might be surprised to find that you have items on your shelves that are discontinued, priced incorrectly or shown with incorrect minimums. WOWSCAN can be very helpful in making sure your showroom products are properly presented.

When you are ready to expand your horizons, use WOW's bar-code printing module to print bar-codes for any products that are not already bar-coded.

Before a show, make sure that all of the WOWSCAN units have been synchronized with the latest product and customer information.

What about scanning on the road ?

The easiest way to scan on the road is to scan the catalogs directly. If your catalogs are not already bar-coded, use our bar-code form letter to send to your manufacturers requesting them. Now is the time to do this - most catalogs are being prepared in the fall for distribution in the new calendar year. Click here to view the letter.

Once you have distributed your bar-code form letters, you can still become effective while you wait for your bar-coded catalogs. Just use WOW's bar-code printing module to print your own bar-codes. Take your existing catalogs and use the bar-codes to label your products. When you are done, take the catalog and make black and white copies for your reps. WOWSCAN will scan the black and white catalog while your customer reads the color catalog !

You can even use WOWSCAN without scanning ! Just pick the items you want to sell from a list. Narrow your search by entering the first few letters or numbers of the item number. Pick the products directly from the result list and add them to your order. It's just that easy.
